rubberised copper wire, copper wire, kitchen knife, 2022, 151 x 61 x 50 cm
The main conceptual column of my work is tragic death of my older brother. Displayed in the middle of sculpture blade symbolises way of death, backstabbing. Copper wires utilised by me where directly pulled out of walls of the family house. Style of the artwork reminds scaffolding, a metaphor of sculpture as a model on which we build up meaning. In the place of sternum, I have located the symbol of transcendence, which like a lens concentrate our attention on knife, as the “key” to afterlife.
